The Typographic Forms project was a case study on the Essonnes font, combining typography, illustration, and publication design.

A barn owl was created using the various characters and typefaces of the font family. Heavier weights were used to create the deeper values, lighter weights were used to create lighter values, and semi bold and medium weights were used for the mid range values. Certain characters were repeated to create patterns mimicking those on a barn owl and to add overall visual interest.
